One Stamp…Two Looks

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (blue, aqua, beige, olive, white) , Techniques (stamping, embossing, fussy cutting) , Elements (blue and aqua flowers, beige and olive leaves on white background, double sentiment strip with embossing, and fishtails, pearl and gem embellishments)

INCLUDE: blue, aqua, beige, olive, white, stamping, flowers, leaves

MODIFY: one outline stamp instead of multiple solid stamps, coloured with copics and heat embossed, stamped kraft mat instead of embossed, smaller sentiment strip, gold embellishments

EXCLUDE: embossing, pearls

SPIN:

I was really drawn to the colours of the inspiration card and the scattered flowers reminded me of this retired background stamp which is so pretty. I stamped lightly with copic-friendly ink, then coloured with copics and then restamped with versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for crisp outlines. I stamped the stamp in Sand Castle onto a kraft panel to add interest to the mat, and popped up a simple, stamped sentiment.

I made a second card where I coloured in the background with the blue/green and left the flowers white.
