LIMES - Spring Flower Hello

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (pink, white, green, kraft, yellow) , Techniques (stamping, die cutting) , Elements (panel of florals, vertical focal point with stamped sentiment/scalloped edge/fishtail), ribbon, 3 butterflies with pearl embellishments)

INCLUDE: pink, white, green, craft, stamping, die cutting, panel of florals,

MODIFY: vertical element is negative space, sentiment is die cut, watercolour stamping instead of patterned paper background,

EXCLUDE: yellow, ribbon, fishtail, butterflies, pearls

SPIN:

The pretty paper in the inspiration reminded me of an old background stamp that I have in my stash. I inked it up with several pink/coral inks and spritzed it with water before stamping it onto watercolour cardstock. I hand painted the centres, and spritz/stamped some leaves. Much easier than trying to draw it all myself! lol!

Instead of adding a horizontal strip, I trimmed my panel and spit it in two. This helps draw the eye to the die cut hello sentiment. If finished with some gold doodling on the flower centres.
