LIMES - Merry Christmas

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (olive, black, white) , Techniques (overlapping stamping) , Elements (slimline card, mod solid and outline botanical stamps, stamped sentiment, ribbon, black die cut border, tab sub sentiment on side)

INCLUDE: solid and outline shapes,

MODIFY: deepened the colours and added red dots/berries, stencil instead of stamping, solid sentiment instead of ribbon and black border, narrow strip of stenciling instead of slimline card

EXCLUDE: ribbon, border, tab

SPIN: square card

I loved the use of the outline and solid shapes in my inspiration and I achieved a similar look with a stencil and a black marker. I used only a narrow rectangle for two reasons 1) to mimic the length of the slimline inspiration, 2) I was a little nervous about my ability to outline all those shapes with a steady hand!
