LIMES - Layering Stencil Watercolour

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (white, red, gold, aqua, green, dark green) , Techniques (die cutting, scoring) , Elements (white panel with scored lines, ornament with gold topper and bow, floral paper with gold foiling, red embellishments

INCLUDE: white, red, gold, aqua, green, dark green, die cutting, white panel, circular floral focal point, red embellishments

MODIFY: stencil watercolor technique instead of patterned paper, edge detail instead of scoring, gold frame instead of topper

EXCLUDE: bow, scoring

SPIN: added a sentiment

The inspiration is so elegant with Christmas florals, and I had this new layering stencil set to try out. I blended all my colours on watercolour cardstock, and then spritzed it until it all ran together, to give a blurry, more filled in look. So blurry in fact, that I went back and restenciled just the flower petals. My square card panel was too small for scoring like the inspiration (but I didn’t want a smaller circle/focal point, either! lol!) so I used a square die with a kind of striped edge detail instead.
