LIMES - Kraft Christmas

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (white, red, beige?) , Techniques (stamping, die cutting) , Elements (scalloped edges, snowflake focal point with scalloped circle and die cut reindeer, horizontal ribbon with stamped sentiment on panel, embellishments)

INCLUDE: red, white, kraft, die cutting, scalloped edges, snowflake,

MODIFY: kraft card base, stenciled background, horizontal element is paper not ribbon, sentiment is die cut

EXCLUDE: reindeer, ribbon, embellishments

SPIN:

This is a great example of how flexible LIMES can be! I took one small element (the red/kraft pattern on the deer) and made it a much bigger part of my design. I left the stencil in place and spritzed shimmer spray over top so that only the red bits of that panel are sparkly. I don’t often make my cards/card bases with kraft cardstock, but it’s fun to remember that we don’t always have to stencil on white! I used a brighter/lighter red to compensate for the darker background.
