I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

 

LIST: Colours (navy, white, yellow, orange) , Techniques (hand cutting) , Elements (navy background with 9 white glitter candles/flames, no sentiment)

INCLUDE: ‍navy, white, yellow, orange

MODIFY: 2 horizontal navy strips, yellow-orange die cut sentiment

EXCLUDE:

SPIN: square card


I saw the candles in the inspiration card as stripes. I turned the navy and white stripes horizontal, and reduced the number. I added some subtle texture to my 2 navy rectangles with a double-stencil technique. I blended cardstock with the flame colours before die cutting my sentiment. This is a very versatile design that could be easily changed for any recipient or occasion simply by changing the colours (and sentiment!)
