I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (blue, white, black, purple, green) , Techniques (heat embossing, watercolour, die cutting) , Elements (blue panel with white embossed feathers, offset white circle with negative die cut, black stamped/embossed sentiment strip, clear ebellishments)

INCLUDE: blue, white, black, green, heat embossing, die cutting, blue panel with white embossing, black stamped/embossed sentiment strip,

MODIFY: added geometric stencilling to panel before heat embossing a geometric pattern, changed negative sentiment to layered flower die cut with cut outs, centred my focal point/sentiment,

EXCLUDE: purple, feathers

SPIN:

I love the dreamy colours in the inspiration card! To create my backgbround, I started by creating solid cardstock with ink, then adding a pattern with watercolour powders and a stencil. Finally, I embossed a delicate stamped background with white embossing powder.
